José Valado

José Valado has served Ridgewells in many capacities since joining the company in 1969. In 1997 after purchasing the company with his business partners, he took on the responsibility of Chief Operations Officer. In this capacity, José is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operation – production, distribution, logistics, and human resources. His comprehensive understanding and in-depth knowledge of the catering business, coupled with his expertise in the overall operation of the company, has been integral in the expansion and repositioning of Ridgewells.

José also plays a significant role in the operation and logistic management implemented by Ridgewells during Major Events, such as the operations for the US Open Golf Championships, the PGA Championships and the AT&T National hosted by Tiger Woods. In 2002, he was instrumental in the formation of Ridgewells’ sister company Haute on the Hill, a union company responsible for the catering services at the House of Representatives. José played a key role in the development of Purple Tie by Ridgewells, launched in March 2008 to provide professional service staff to clients.

José commands excellent organization skills and prides himself on providing the highest quality service and total client satisfaction. A native of Spain, José and his wife split their time between their residence in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and their vacation home in northeast Spain.
